  • CREACT4MED Releases country-specific Policy Action Plans with Recommendations to Build a Thriving Cultural and Creative Ecosystem

The CREACT4MED project is pleased to announce the publication of eight country-specific Policy Action Plans, authored by Dr. Yeganeh Forouheshfar, Senior Researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association.

As part of the project’s first pillar, Mapping, we have identified key figures, actors, initiatives, cultural infrastructures, opportunities, and challenges in each target country. This effort aims to uncover and raise awareness of untapped entrepreneurial and employment opportunities while developing effective support initiatives and policy recommendations.

The Policy Action Plans offer an overview of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) ecosystem in each country, accompanied by strategic recommendations to unlock their CCI potential. These insights are derived from four years of CREACT4MED implementation and build upon the Regional Policy Paper published in May 2024. The recommendations focus on three strategic approaches: mainstreaming creativity, building an enabling environment, and enhancing job quality for creative professionals.

Each document concludes with tailored action plans that specify necessary steps and the key stakeholders involved in fostering a thriving cultural and creative ecosystem.

You can access the Policy Action Plans in our Resources section:

CREACT4MED is a project funded by the EU through the EuropeAid Programme, which aims to strengthen businesses with the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). It seeks to support entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, create jobs, and foster sustainable economic growth in the Southern Mediterranean, with a particular focus on young people and women. The initiative is coordinated by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA).
