On the 21st March 2024, CREACT4MED will launch the public vote to decide the winners of the Best Practice Competition on the CREACT4MED Engagement Platform. After receiving over 100 proposals from across the Southern Mediterranean, the CREACT4MED Consortium and Regional Evaluation Committee have shortlisted 26 to enter the competition. They each have given a statement on how they plan to use the prize money. You can find it here.
The Best Practices were evaluated based on their economic significance, the ability to replicate and upscale the activities, the employement opportunities created, efforts to ensure inclusiveness, social impact, and environmental impact. The Rules of the Competition can be found in this document.

(A 27th application was selected by the Regional Evaluation Committee. However, it could not be included in the competition due to challenges to formally register the company in Lebanon.)
